Mark Nyman graduated from Oregon State with an Industrial Engineering Degree. After being introduced to food brokerage industry in 1989 he then started Cascade Fruit Marketing, Inc. dba foodguys in August 1991.
Ken Mills is the Senior Sales person here at foodguys. Ken joined the company in September of 2000 after a 20-year career with a local food processor. Ken has food sales in his blood from spending nearly his whole life in the food business. Ken’s father and grandfather were also food business people and he has carried on that tradition. Ken’s passion in food comes from his commitment to his customers. Through his experience over the years from selling into the retail markets or wholesale, he is now selling at the source; he has learned what it takes to be successful. He wants his customers to get exactly what they want when they want it. It can range from Fruits, vegetables and nuts. Organic foods have become very popular in the industry and have created an ongoing educational process from which to learn. Ken says “not a day goes by when I don’t learn something new in this industry”. Learning new sources and new customers all the time and learning how they wish to be dealt with and do business together. Quality and service as well as saving time and money are what drive him to succeed.
Mark Warner is our “Great Guy.” He received a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Oregon, has over 25 years of experience in managing sales, product development, and national account responsibility in the ingredient and food service industries. He brings to the team a solid sales background and positive energy to the entire company. He continues to oversee these two-challenging categories, delivery consistently excellent results for our customers and principals alike.
Vance Young brings many years of experience in the culinary field and food service industries. His wealth of food product knowledge and application processes have benefited numerous customers in critical purchasing and production issues. His passion for great customer service, a high level of integrity, and commitment to getting our customer's what they want and need, have made him a favorite here at foodguys. He is the "Right Guy" for all of your sourcing and purchasing needs.
Jerry Spoon has an Industrial Engineering degree from Oregon State University. After graduating from OSU, he joined the foodguys team in 1991-1993 before returning to the steel manufacturing industry for 12 years as a Manufacturing Engineer. He returned to foodguys in 2005 to focus on selling all ingredients, specializing in fruit juice concentrates. Jerry's main focus is value-added activity for all his customers, whether it is sourcing an existing product or helping with new ingredient R&D.
Jill Woodridge joined foodguys in early 2005. She came on board with a strong interest in the growing organic ingredient segment of the industry but works with both organic and conventional ingredients. Jill's success has been built on an authentic commitment to help her customers find what they need to have their projects succeed. She combines 25 years of sales and sales management experience with natural enthusiasm and tenacity to source ingredients from around the globe. So, how does she manage being the only woman sales person at foodguys? Well, some think she might even be “better- than- a- guy….”
Rich Wilkins is a new member to the Foodguys sales team – That Guy. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from University of Oregon in 1982. He has over 20 years in the food industry including experience in manufacturing, product development, brand marketing, and ingredient sourcing. Prior to Foodguys, he worked as Western Regional Sales Manager in the canned fruits and vegetable industry. Between 1988 and 1999 Rich owned and operated Lucca Pasta Products a frozen pasta manufacturing company in Sparks, Nevada. He is passionate about providing the right solution to meet the customers’ sourcing needs.
Rich Eiguren functions as the Logistics Coordinator here at Foodguys. Rich Eiguren brings a unique experience in the shipping field and a drive to make customer service the priority. His experience started by working for a Russian shipping company, shipping bulk food items and specialized grocery order for oil companies. He then moved on to become a Returns Analyst for a billion dollar Electronics Company and had a brief stint shipping milling machines for a small laser company. Rich started with foodguys this past December and hopes to provide the best possible customer service for new and existing customers. If you need your order shipped Rich is the “shipping” guy.
Marty McLerran is our Accounting Manager. She ventured into our company Fall 2006. She came with experience, more than a few, and is learning the food side of business. She can answer questions regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable. She is known for her check writing ability including ACH and wiring skills.
Nicole Salmonson is our administrative assistant. She has prior experience in accounting and also some in other job areas as well. She came to us as a newlywed in June 2007, and her husband is the assistant manager of a Starbucks Coffee Franchise. At foodguys she invoices our customers, receives deposits, and does various other accounting tasks. You will most likely know her voice, however, since she answers the incoming calls to the office.
Kayla Binnendyk works in our administrative department answering calls, invoicing customers, processing payments and helping out with various other accounting tasks. She joined foodguys with several years experience in the food industry. She has worked in restaurants as well as on the distributer side, and is currently the youngest member of the foodguys team.
Genevieve Lane is one of our administrative assistants with an educational background in business management, philosophy, and art history. Having professional experience primarily in the flooring and banking industry, she brings transferable administrative and accounting skills to the food services industry. Having joined the Foodguys’ team in the fall of 2007 with her propensity to embrace challenges and opportunity, she is enthusiastic about contributing to the foodguys’ team and growing professionally.
